Streamer and ex-professional gamer Ninja took a huge leap in August. His career took a new path when he moved from Twitch to streaming platform Mixer. Microsoft offered an undisclosed deal to the content creator and after just 5 days of streaming, Ninja boasted 1 million active subscribers.
But the good news for Ninja didn’t stop there. Tyler ‘Ninja’ Belvins and Adidas Original have announced a multi-year partnership. The German athletic wear brand Adidas and Fortnite streamer have entered a partnership on August 27.
No details about the partnership have been revealed. A tagline ‘Time In’, a reference to ‘putting time in’to a passion before finding success is all the information that was given along with a dedicated micro-site that was created allowing consumers to sign up for email alerts. However, no specific merchandise has been revealed yet.
The microsite states, “There’s never been a better time to blur the lines between the cultures of gaming and fashion,” giving some clue to what the partnership might involve. During a Mixer stream, Ninja told his viewers that details surrounding the partnership couldn’t be discussed but encouraged them to “use their imagination.” The microsite could hint to products in the real and virtual world. “Whatever your craft is, we invite you to clock in and stay tuned for big things to come.”
